Box Shop
Returns Policy
Fort Knox Self Storage offers a 7-day return policy on “Dead on Arrival”, “Incorrectly Shipped” or “Damaged in Transit” goods. Shipping charges may apply and are not refundable.
Change of mind refunds will be accepted within 14 days with original tax receipt. Returned products must be in new condition.
Items purchased as value packs can only be returned as a complete pack, no individual item refunds.
Shipping
Fort Knox Self Storage or its agent will deliver the goods you order to the address you specify in your order, within the agreed time frame, subject to their availability. Our service area covers metropolitan Melbourne only.
Fort Knox Self Storage’s days of operation for delivery are Monday to Friday servicing locations across metropolitan Melbourne only. Delivery costs are as follows:
- Melbourne Metro Delivery $25
- Free Delivery for orders over $200*

Once your order has been placed, an employee from your selected Fort Knox Self Storage location will call for payment by credit card and to confirm your delivery address. If payment has not been processed online.
The standard time-frame for delivery is the next business day. Orders processed early in the day may be delivered on the same day.
Anyone at the delivery address who receives the goods will be presumed by Fort Knox Self Storage or its agent to be authorised to receive the goods.
Please make sure there is someone available to receive the delivery. If there is no-one at the delivery address or no-one of appropriate age to receive the order, Fort Knox Self Storage may charge you additional delivery fees.
Once the goods are delivered to you, you will own them, and it is your responsibility if they are lost or damaged.
FREE Move in Van
The FREE Move in Van is available to be used Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm and from 9.00am and 2.30pm on Saturdays.
The vehicle must be unloaded and returned to the Facility Owner by 4:30PM Mon-Fri or 2:30PM Saturdays, if not you will forfeit your $100 deposit, failing to do so will incur a charge of $500 per day for each day or part thereof that the vehicle is not returned which will be applied and charged to the credit card noted.
Vans are subject to availability and can only be used during Fort Knox Self Storage specified hours. The vehicle may only be used for the transportation of items for storage in the self storage space number noted or removal from the self storage space but not otherwise. Move outs and authorised drivers ,are required to pay non refundable $50 Insurance excess reduction fee.
Drivers must hold a valid driver’s licence and be over 25 years old.
The person signing the Vehicle Hire Agreement will be the ONLY driver of the van. Any other driver will not be covered by insurance.
This vehicle is not to be taken outside a radius of 50 km from the Storage Facility noted unless authorised as extra travel in writing, which may incur additional cost
You must complete a vehicle inspection before hiring and on return of the vehicle.
The van is tracked and has forward facing dash camera.
You must obey all Victorian road laws.
The vehicle may only be used for the transportation of items for storage in the Self Storage Space Number noted or removal from the Self Storage Space but not otherwise.
The Storer warrants that all information provided in this Agreement is complete, true and correct and not misleading in any way.
A minimum Fort Knox Self Storage stay of 2 months.
A $100 refundable cash or card deposit is paid at the time of rental. Refundable as long as the vehicle is refilled with diesel, clean and empty of any rubbish, and is returned by 4.30pm Monday to Friday or by 2.30pm on Saturday.
If the van is not refilled with diesel and provide a receipt –you will be charged $4 per KM and a $20 admin Fee.
Cleaning fees of $50 applies to all vehicles not returned in a clean state.
Smoking and animals are not permitted in the vehicle at any time, nor is the vehicle to be used for the carriage of illicit, dangerous, hazardous and/or perishable goods and/or products.
Minimum payment for damage/loss of use is $0, $250 or $1000.00 per claim as per option selected insurance per claim.
You will be required to give us your credit card details prior to rental of the Free Move-In Van. The Storer is liable for all tolls and parking or traffic violations. Any such tolls or fines incurred whilst vehicle is on rent and not paid on time will also incur an Administration Fee, all of which will be charged to the credit card noted.

First Month Free Protection Cover
As a valued customer, Fort Knox will provide your first month of your protection cover FREE (up to the value of $50,000 of protection coverage). Upon selecting your preferred protection coverage value, we will apply a credit to your account, which will be deducted at the next billing cycle.
