Lending a hand to Helping Hands ASD

Fort Knox Self Storage was extremely proud to offer their support for a charity golf day on the 13th of March to raise much needed support, awareness and funds for the charity Helping Hands – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Intervention.

With tee off at a very reasonable 12 pm, the event took place at the exclusive and picturesque Woodlands golf course in the heart of Mordialloc. Often been described as ‘a good walk spoiled’, the golf event involved prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin made the day even more exciting and competitive.

It was a great day to help raise some much needed support for Helping Hands. Just watch for the hook.

The charity for which the day had been organized was ‘Helping Hands ASD Intervention’. A not for profit organization that specializes in helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder discover and reach their full potential. Helping Hands assists by  providing an individualised learning program in a safe and nurturing environment. Raised funds on the day were earmarked for some great developments within the organization – a new computer station, library corner and other integral educational resources and programs.

The day comprised of 18 holes, played Ambrose and a dinner at the conclusion of the golf. Trophies were awarded, silent(and loud) auctions were undertaken as well as raffles and  games which took place during various times throughout the evening. It was a successful fundraiser for Helping Hands, one that Fort Knox was very happy to be a part of.
