Christmas Celebrations in The Spirit of Giving

As the festive decorations go up around town, our focus turns to giving. Every year the management at Fort Knox Self Storage take some time in the lead up to Christmas to celebrate and recognise the accomplishments of our fabulous staff. This is an opportunity to show our appreciation for the hard work our team members put in, especially at this busy time of year.
On one night each year, the staff from all Fort Knox Self Storage Melbourne locations gather in one location to celebrate and reflect on another year of positive achievements. This year’s event was a cocktail evening at Watermark Docklands in the Pavilion. With its beautiful 230-degree views overlooking the water, it was a spectacular venue that offered a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
An entertaining night was had by all, especially at the photobooth where hats and props were used to make fun photos that we could take home to our families at the end of the night. The DJ spun up some great tunes, which created a fun atmosphere with lots of great dance moves and a little bit of crazy dad dancing.
During this time of celebration, we also turned our thoughts to those that we could help outside of our Fort Knox family, by giving to the wider community. Last year we exchanged Oxfam Unwrapped charity cards as Kris Kringle gifts to help buy essential supplies for people living in poverty. This year, with bushfires raging in the northern states, instead of giving gifts, our staff chose to give cash donations to the bushfire relief fund. We would like to congratulate everyone who generously contributed on the night, as we raised $270.00 to help the victims of the bushfires that have ravaged parts of Australia.

The night was capped off with an awards ceremony. This is a night where we recognise the achievements of some of our most outstanding people. Whilst all our team members strive to provide the best customer experience, some go above and beyond to help. The main prize of the night, the Golden Globe Award, was presented for the best Google review of 2019.
