Catch-ups, Awards, and Bowls.

With 11 Fort Knox Self Storage sites spread across Melbourne, it is a very rare occasion that staff from all the facilities get together for a meet up. Saturday evening was the Fort Knox Christmas party. It was the first chance for everyone to get together since the end of 2019, and what a celebration we had!

Teams from all the storage facilities and the management team got together to celebrate and “bare foot” bowl at the City of Melbourne Bowls Club. Lawn bowls was a new sport to most of us, but fun was had by all, learning how to control the biased balls. Some of the staff had secret hidden lawn bowls skills that came to the fore that night.

Later in the evening, it was time to eat. The amazing food on the night came from Guy’s Gourmet Catering. We had a selection of spit roasted meats with pork, chicken, and brisket, which were cooked to perfection. There was also a range of beautifully presented and delicious vegan/ vegetarian options, salads, and sides. The food was heartily enjoyed by all, with many racing back for seconds (and thirds). This was all topped off with a selection of mini deserts including cheesecakes, lemon meringue tarts, and rocky road.

And the winner is…

At the end of the night, some special awards were presented to the best performing storage facilities. During the Christmas celebrations each year, we present awards to the sites that perform the best in certain areas. This year the team at Fort Knox West Melbourne won the big award of the night for the best google review of 2021.
